About the studios

What a residency includes.

A studio

Flexible, affordable studio space inside the warehouse from $42 + GST per week, with high-speed Wi-Fi, electricity and CCTV security included.

Flexible terms

Hassle-free month-to-month leasing, or longer-term residencies if you want the security to plan a bigger body of work.

A gallery to show in

Host your own show in the fully equipped on-site gallery, with support and mentorship to make the most of the venue.

Workshop + meeting spaces

Versatile workshop areas for making, and meeting rooms for the unglamorous-but-necessary conversations.

Free entry to events

Most events at Superordinary are open to residents free of charge. The programme is on your doorstep.

Parking + access

More than 300 free parks on site and 24/7 access for residents, a short hop from the Northshore Hamilton CityCat.

Superordinary also supports a First Nations Artist Residency Program providing free studio space to a number of artists who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
