The Superordinary Gallery

Superordinary Gallery is a flexible exhibition and project space embedded within our vibrant multi-arts warehouse at Northshore. Purpose-built for creative experimentation, the gallery uses modular infrastructure and adaptable layouts that can transform the entire venue into a platform for bold ideas and diverse voices.
More than a traditional white-wall gallery, this immersive venue is designed to adapt, transforming from exhibition space to performance site, workshop hub, or community gathering point.
At its core, the gallery supports independent artistic vision. Whether you’re an emerging artist presenting your first solo show or a collective curating a large-scale group exhibition, Superordinary offers the infrastructure, flexibility, and community support to bring ambitious ideas to life.
Superordinary is proud to have presented Frame of Mind, a group exhibition exploring neurodivergent creativity curated by artist Amanda Laing, and Full Circle, the debut solo show by multi-disciplinary artist Shock JR through the Artist-in-Residence program.
Our exhibitions are not programmed on a fixed rotation. Instead, develop deeper partnerships with artists and curators, allowing each project to unfold with care, context, and audience engagement at its core.
The gallery is also available for independent hire. Whether you’re staging a solo show, a group exhibition, or a hybrid installation-performance event, Superordinary offers a unique platform to present your work – supported by professional infrastructure and a responsive, experienced team.
