Application Process

Here are the steps to secure a stall booking at Supermarkets!

3 Receive an email from the Supermarkets team with details of your bump-in
4 See you at Supermarkets!

How can I apply? 

  • Please submit the online application form. If you have any queries, please contact us via supermarkets@superordinary.com.au
  • Applications close 12:00am on the Wednesday prior to each Supermarkets date. 

What happens when I apply? 

  • Once you complete your application, you are welcome to purchase your stall ticket through Eventbrite
  • *Food/Drink stalls will be contacted via email. Please do not purchase a stall ticket.
  • You will receive an email from the Supermarkets Team with more details about bump-in/bump-out etc.

Who can apply and what can I sell at Supermarkets? 

Anyone can apply for a stall at Supermarkets! We welcome all creatives from:

  • Fashion Enthusiasts
  • Artists
  • Crafters
  • Food Vendors
  • Vinyl Shops 
  • Florists/Fresh Produce etc.

Things to Consider 

> All stallholders must have their own Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of $10,000,000 for each accident, claim or event

> Strictly no open flames

What are the trading days and hours?

Do I need EFTPOS/Credit Card facilities? 

  • YES. It is to be encouraged that stallholders set up systems to operate as cashless, though it is not mandatory

Is there Wi-Fi access? 

  • YES.

Is there access to power?

  • Please note that additional services such as power may incur an additional fee (available on Eventbrite)
  • Food/Drink stalls will need to submit an application form and the Supermarkets Team will get in touch with you.

Is there refrigeration or cold storage available? 

  • NO. 
  • You may organise Cool Room Hire at an additional cost after discussion with the Supermarkets Team. 

Is there access to running water? 

  • There is no access to running water apart from the toilets on site.

Stall Cancellation Policy / What if I have to cancel my application? 

  • At this stage, Supermarkets do not offer refunds for stall cancellations (after payment via Eventbrite has been made), this includes credits or transfers. In the event you have to cancel your booking, please let us know by Wednesday before your booking.

How and when do I need to process the payment for a stall? 

  • You can confirm your position at Supermarkets by submitting the application form and buying a stall space through Eventbrite for the relevant dates.
  • A limited number of stall spaces are available each week at Supermarkets. Stalls must be booked and payment must be received by 3.00pm on the Wednesday prior to the Sunday that you are attending the market. 
  • Once attendance is confirmed we will provide you with all the relevant information needed.

  • 2m x 2m A$34.27
  • 3m x 3m A$56.99
  • 6m x3m A$112.77 

Add-ons 

  • Indoor Power Supply A$42.53 (1×10 amp plug provided to stall. Conditions apply. Please contact for questions)
  • Stallholders are not, under any circumstances, to approach or touch any power outlets around the market at all times. If there are any issues with the power, staff is to be contacted immediately.
  • Food/Drink stalls will need to submit an application form and the Supermarkets Team will get in touch with you.

Do I need a licence for stall food? 

  • Yes, you need to have a Temporary Food Stall Licence by Brisbane City Council 
  • If you are operating a Food Stall and are unsure about Brisbane City Council requirements, please visit their website or contact the Brisbane CIty Council on 133BNE (133 263). 

Is there an Information Desk? 

  • Our staff will be managing the Superordinary venue during Supermarkets. Please feel free to talk to us if there are any questions or issues. First Aid Kits as well as the Lost & Found Register are also located at the Superordinary Cafe.

What time for the bump in and out? 

  • Stallholders are allowed to bump-in for Supermarkets from 1 hour before doors. 
  • Bump out is for 1 hour after event finish time. No packing during official market hours. Please do not move your vehicle until customers have vacated. 
  • Stall positions are first in best dress. Upon arrival at the markets you will get to select your stall location – please ask staff for directions and stall dimensions will be marked on the floor.

Can I go to the site with my vehicle?  

  • Vehicles will only be permitted to enter the market for the bump in and out. 
  • Vehicles are permitted only in the courtyard and only for food stalls.
  • All other stalls must be loaded via the car park next door.

Is there parking for stallholders? 

  • There is no parking on site unless prior approval has been given by the Supermarkets Team. 
  • However, there is plenty of free parking around Superordinary, including a large car park directly next door.
  • Please be aware that we cannot be made liable for any parking fines. 

Are there any restrictions? 

  • All stallholders must supply their own public liability insurance. Please ensure you meet any local, state and federal law requirements. 
  • Any damage found to equipment, landscaping, lighting, lessor’s (property owners) and/or market owner’s property will be charged to the individual responsible.

Can I throw the rubbish after trading time? 

  • Rubbish is each stallholders’ responsibility. Customer rubbish will be removed by the Supermarkets. This is not provided for stallholder use at any time. Please do not leave your trading rubbish behind or a charge of $50 will be included.

  • YES. Superordinary is an accessible venue:
    • One-storey
    • Accessible Toilet

Can I go to your markets with my pets? 

  • We are a pet-friendly market and allow dogs/cats/pets (on a leash) access to the venue courtyard.

How to get there?  

  • The Supermarkets are accessed via public transport, bike and car. Please visit this page for further information. 

Is parking available? 

  • There is plenty of free parking around Superordinary. 
  • We are located at 175 MacArthur Avenue – make a U-turn at Theodore St to enter the parking bay. There are also numerous secure and street parking options around the site. Dock B Car Park is the closest free car park that has direct pedestrian access to Superordinary with only a short walk.
