David is an terrarium designer and founder of Nature’s Velvet, whose practice centres on reconnecting people with nature through handcrafted terrariums and immersive workshops. Inspired by formative experiences in Queensland’s Carnarvon Gorge, his work explores the calming, restorative qualities of natural environments. After experiencing burnout from corporate life, David turned to nature as a source of healing, an ethos that now underpins his creative practice, inviting others to rediscover presence, wellbeing, and joy through intimate encounters with living ecosystems.
