Piumi is a Sri Lankan-Australian artist based in Brisbane (Meanjin) with a unique form of abstract & sculptural art called ‘BreakForm’. She developed this style by repurposing fragments of paint and textured, to create the illusion that the canvas is being ripped open. Her ‘BreakForm’ art is ultimately symbolic of the strength and beauty that comes from breaking and reforming.
