Cyanotype Workshop on Paper (Beginner)
Two workshops to learn all the theory and practice around the photographic method of Cyanotype (This is Workshop #1).
What to expect?
Come and learn how to do alternative process photography from the 19th century with me. Throughout these workshops, I’ll explain to you the history of photography, the social impact of visuals, the method of Cyanotype and you will leave with 1-2 artworks of your own. First workshop is for cyanotype on paper (Workshop #1), second is for cyanotype on every material (Workshop #2). The second workshop cannot be taken without having the introduction (paper) cyanotype workshop.
For whom?
Are you an art enthusiast? A history explorer? A science curious? or all the above? Then this is the place to be. This workshops merge practical advice and theory knowledge. Whether you want to bring your illustration to a new level or experience with the science of photography, have a new look on your tattoo work or experience with a different way to print of fabric, you are at the right place. The classes are open to anybody without previous knowledge, from 7 to 777 years old. Safe and fun, you are guaranteed to have a good time learning about Cyanotype.
With whom?
My name is Fox, I will be your creative educator. I have been exhibiting and exploring cyanotype since 2015. What brought me to this process is really the craftmanship it demands. It is a simple yet delicate method in which every print is unique. You have to work with your senses to define the right amount of sunlight, to wait beside your artwork as you see it changing. It is drastically different from a digital snapshot, and that’s all the fun of it.
