Frames for the People was designed by JJ James. In his words:

“I’ve been a full time artist for about three years, and in that time I’ve found that the biggest expense as a painter is framing. It’s time consuming to make it yourself, and its expensive to buy. You can either get cheap nasty frames that have no soul and devalue your art, or you can get beautiful custom frames from a professional framer that cost a ridiculous amount of money. There isn’t really a middle ground.

I just wanted to create something that makes people want to paint.”

When you buy from Frames For The People you will receive a handmade, hardwood gallery quality picture frame & a pre-stretched canvas. You’ll also recieve a hanging kit with everything you need to get your art on the wall!

Both the wood in the canvas and the wood in the frames are made from Eastern Walnut (which you can read more about below)

The pre-stretched canvas comes as an added bonus. If you are really particular about your art, feel free to stretch your own! It’s easy, I learnt on youtube :)

As a framing business, our first priority was to make a really great frame. From here, we intend to build a business that empowers people to make art, promotes local and international artists, and above all else makes your art look amazing.
