Set in the Superordinary Venue, the festival will recreate the lively atmosphere of a traditional roda de samba right in the heart of Brisbane.

Kids Bateria:
In partnership with Project Era Uma Vez, Kleiton Sodré, and Samba Vibes, we are thrilled to introduce Brisbane’s first-ever Kids Brazilian Drumming Group (Mini Bateria)! This exciting initiative allows children to dive into the world of samba through three dynamic and creative activities:
- Build Your Own Instrument – Using recycled materials, children will craft their own percussion instruments, promoting sustainability while sparking creativity.
- Drumming Workshop – Through an engaging, hands-on session, children will discover the rhythmic foundations of samba, learning key beats and patterns in a fun, interactive environment.
- Performance for Parents – To conclude, the young drummers will take to the stage and showcase their newfound talents in a lively batucada performance, proving that the samba spirit is alive in the next generation!
Free entry for children aged 0 – 12 years old, as long as a parent or guardian has purchased a ticket for themselves.
